Third formal criticism made in opposition to suspended Labour MP going through sexual harassment allegations

A 3rd formal criticism has been made in opposition to the previous Labour MP Geraint Davies who was suspended over allegations of inappropriate behaviour, Sky News understands.

Mr Davies was suspended by the get together final week after a lot of accusations surfaced within the media. He has denied the claims.

Two formal complaints had been made by ladies over the next two days, however Sky News now understands a 3rd has been submitted.

It comes as Sir Keir Starmer advised reporters he was “determined to tackle” sexual harassment inside Labour.

Speaking earlier than the information broke, the get together chief mentioned: “I’m clearly involved about any allegations of this nature, whether or not that is within the Labour Party, in parliament or anyplace throughout the nation and [we’re] decided to deal with them.

“That’s why we’ve changed our processes to hopefully give people the confidence to come forward.

“The most necessary factor I can say is that to anyone who has issues or allegations or data, I would like them to return ahead, I would like them to really feel assured to return ahead, and in the event that they’re ready to take action they will be supported and we’ll unravel this.”

Mr Davies was first elected as an MP in 1997 and now represents Swansea West.

After the allegations got here to mild in a report by Politico revealed on Thursday, Labour “administratively suspended” him from the get together pending an investigation into experiences of “incredibly serious allegations of completely unacceptable behaviour”.

The 63-year-old politician has denied the claims and advised the web site: “I do not recognise the allegations recommended and have no idea who has made them.
