Mike Trout has surgical procedure on his damaged left wrist; timetable for return unknown

SAN DIEGO (AP) – All-Star middle fielder Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels had surgical procedure on his fractured left wrist Wednesday, two days after he was injured fouling off a pitch.

“I just talked to Mike; he just got out of surgery. He feels great,” supervisor Phil Nevin stated earlier than the Angels completed a collection towards the San Diego Padres. “The surgery went well. We spoke to the doctor a minute ago, but it sounds like everything went great.”

Also Wednesday, two-way All-Star Shohei Ohtani was within the lineup because the designated hitter a day after popping out the sport within the sixth inning because of a blister on the center finger of his pitching hand. Ohtani stated then that he’s not planning on pitching within the All-Star Game subsequent week in Seattle. It stays to be seen whether or not he’ll DH for the American League.
