A U.S. Postal Service employee was robbed at gunpoint in Olney in Montgomery County, Maryland.
While delivering mail contained in the cul-de-sac of townhouses within the space of St. Florence Terrace and Brimstone Academy Drive at round 2 p.m. Wednesday, a letter service was approached by a person with a handgun who demanded USPS property.
The letter service handed over the property and was unhurt.
The stolen property was a pair of mail keys, a goal for thieves who wish to break into giant blue mail containers to steal different folks’s mail, together with mailed checks, in accordance to D.C. Realtime News.
The suspect, described as being in his 20s, with a skinny construct and sporting a blue hooded sweatshirt, a blue face masks, and denims, proceeded to flee in a black car, in accordance to TV station WJLA, the native ABC affiliate.
