Berlin movie pageant to honor Martin Scorsese for lifetime achievement

BERLIN (AP) — Martin Scorsese will likely be honored for his lifetime achievement on the Berlin International Film Festival in February, organizers mentioned Thursday.

The 81-year-old director, whose in depth work ranges from decades-old classics similar to “Taxi Driver” and “Raging Bull” to this yr’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” will likely be given an honorary Golden Bear — the pageant’s prime award — on Feb. 20.

They described Scorsese as “a good friend of the festival.”
