Former ‘Smallville’ actress Allison Mack launched from jail early

Allison Mack, who was convicted on racketeering and conspiracy prices in 2021 in connection to the Nxivm intercourse trafficking scandal, was launched early from jail this week.

Mack served two years in jail, in need of the three years wherein she was sentenced for prices associated to her function within the cult group Nxivm. Federal prosecutors stated Mack had groomed girls to be the slavelike sexual companions of the group’s chief, Keith Raniere.

Mack, an actress within the TV present “Smallville,” pleaded responsible in 2019 to racketeering prices earlier than Raniere’s trial started. Raniere acquired a 120-year sentence after being convicted on prices associated to intercourse trafficking.

Nxivm billed itself as a self-help group. During his time as chief, Raniere created a secret female-only group that Mack helped steward. Group members had been branded with Raniere’s initials and recruited different girls to have intercourse with him.

Mack wrote a letter forward of her conviction taking accountability for the lives she affected.

“I devoted my loyalty, my resources and, ultimately, my life to [Raniere],” she wrote. “This was the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life.”
