Customs brokers seize fentanyl tablets price $2.25 million from mother touring along with her younger daughter

Customs and Border Protection brokers discovered fentanyl tablets with a road worth of $2.25 million hidden within the automotive of a mom touring from Mexico along with her eight-year-old daughter, the company introduced Thursday.

On June 16, brokers on the San Ysidro port of entry close to San Diego stopped a 2010 sedan of unspecified make and mannequin, pushed by an unnamed 29-year-old girl from Mexico. 

An preliminary inspection of the automotive revealed plastic-wrapped bundles within the rear panels, and CBP personnel referred the lady and her automotive for additional examination.



A complete of 61 packages of coloured fentanyl tablets weighing over 42 kilos had been discovered hidden within the dashboard, gasoline tank and behind the upholstery of the motive force and passenger seats, together with these packages detected within the rear panels. CBP brokers discovered 14 packages with assorted colours, 16 with pink tablets and 31 with blue tablets. 

The younger woman was turned over to familial custody whereas the motive force was detained on prices of drug smuggling. CBP would finally hand over the 29-year-old girl to Homeland Security Investigations.
