Bucs-Nats rained out; break up DH on Saturday

WASHINGTON — The Nationals’ sequence opener in opposition to the Pirates on Friday has been postponed due to inclement climate. The groups will play a split-admission doubleheader on Saturday, with a separate ticket required for every sport.

Game 1 will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, with left-hander Patrick Corbin on the mound for Washington, as scheduled, vs. Pirates southpaw Rich Hill. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Game 2, the postponed sport, will start at 6:05 p.m ET. Right-hander Chad Kuhl will get the beginning in opposition to his former crew, whereas Vince Velasquez will take the hill for the Bucs. Tickets and parking passes from Friday will probably be honored for Game 2 on Saturday. Gates will open both 75 minutes after the final out of Game 1 or at 4:30 p.m. ET — whichever occurs later.

Washington is returning to Nationals Park after going 4-2 on a highway journey to Minnesota and New York, throughout which it outscored the Twins and Mets, 31-19. Saturday will start a seven-game homestand.
