Twins place Maeda on 15-day IL (triceps)

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Twins introduced Saturday that they’ve positioned right-handed pitcher Kenta Maeda on the 15-day injured record with a proper triceps pressure (retroactive to Thursday).

Maeda, who exited his begin on Wednesday afternoon towards the Yankees after three-plus innings pitched, has began 4 video games for the Twins this season, going 0-4 with a 9.00 ERA (16.0 IP, 16 ER), 23 hits allowed, three walks and 14 strikeouts.

To exchange Maeda on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Bailey Ober from Triple-A St Paul.
