Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris finished for season with leg damage

LONDON — Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will miss the remainder of the Premier League season due to a thigh damage, interim supervisor Ryan Mason confirmed Friday.

The 36-year-old Spurs captain, who’s within the closing yr of his contract, hasn’t performed since being substituted at halftime of Tottenham’s 6-1 loss to Newcastle on April 23.

The north London membership is on a four-game winless slide with 4 matches remaining because it fights for a European spot.

“Hugo is out for the season. We had the (test) results back and it’s obviously disappointing,” Mason stated forward of Saturday’s recreation in opposition to Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “We kind of feared that initially.”

Fraser Forster has stepped in to exchange the previous France worldwide.
