Casino employees with MGM Grand Detroit ratify deal, ending 47-day strike

DETROIT — Casino employees for MGM Grand Detroit have voted to ratify a brand new contract, ending a 47-day strike.

MGM Grand Detroit employees are union members of the Detroit Casino Council, which represents practically 4,000 workers of the town’s three casinos. Their approval Saturday on a five-year settlement comes weeks after unionized employees reached an settlement with different two casinos following a roughly one-month strike.
