Rep. James Comer says he ‘can’t monitor down’ high informant in Biden household probe

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer stated Sunday that congressional investigators probing President Biden’s household over overseas influence-peddling allegations have misplaced contact with a number one informant.

The Kentucky Republican and different high GOP lawmakers within the House have alleged that Mr. Biden’s relations, together with his son Hunter, acquired hundreds of thousands of {dollars} from overseas entities in China and Romania, together with when Mr. Biden was vp.

“Well, unfortunately, we can’t track down the informant,” Mr. Comer stated on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo.” “We’re hopeful that the informant is still there. The whistleblower knows the informant. The whistleblower is very credible.”

The committee has not alleged that the overseas funds to members of Mr. Biden’s household had been unlawful, however its Republican members have accused the Biden household of enriching themselves from his energy and say Mr. Biden was probably influenced by overseas sources.

Mr. Comer recommended that the White House was behind the informant’s unknown whereabouts, however he declined to elaborate and didn’t produce proof. He stated he’s withholding that info “for a later time” and that the informant is within the “spy business” who doesn’t “make a habit of being seen a lot.”

“The nine of the 10 people that we’ve identified that have very good knowledge with respect to the Bidens, they’re one of three things,” Mr. Comer stated. “They’re either currently in court, they’re currently in jail, or they’re currently missing.”
