Tupac Shakur to be honored with a road title in California

OAKLAND, Calif. — The late Tupac Shakur can have a stretch of an Oakland road renamed for him after a unanimous vote by the town council Tuesday.

Shakur was born in Harlem and later lived in Baltimore, Maryland; and in Marin City, California, however credited Oakland as the situation the place he bought his “game” and launched his profession, in response to laws authorizing the commemorative road renaming.

A stretch of MacArthur Boulevard by Lake Merritt the place Shakur as soon as lived will hold its current title, but additionally obtain the extra, honorary title of Tupac Shakur Way. Commemorative plaques and indicators signaling the change will probably be paid for by the Tupac Shakur Foundation.
