North Carolina man pleads responsible to escaping from Piedmont Regional Jail in Virginia

A North Carolina man that escaped the Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, Virginia, on April 30 pleaded responsible Wednesday.

Bruce Callahan, 44, initially on the jail awaiting trial on federal weapon and drug distribution prices, concocted a plan with fellow inmate Alder Marin-Sotelo to flee. The pair manipulated locks and have been then capable of scale fences to flee.

Marin-Sotelo was initially incarcerated after pleading responsible to proudly owning a gun as an unlawful immigrant and awaiting trial for the homicide of a Wake County, North Carolina, sheriff’s deputy.
