Guardians’ Jose Ramirez homers in first 3 at-bats towards Red Sox

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Guardians third baseman José Ramírez homered in his first three at-bats on Thursday evening towards the Boston Red Sox.

Ramírez linked for a solo shot within the first, a two-run homer – the two hundredth of his profession – within the third and added one other solo homer within the sixth.

The switch-hitter hit two of the homers right-handed, and the opposite from the left facet of the plate.



Ramírez’s homer within the sixth got here off former teammate Corey Kluber and gave the All-Star 9 this season and moved him previous Travis Hafner for ninth place on the membership’s profession homer checklist with 201.

Ramírez got here up once more within the sixth because the Guardians despatched 10 males to the plate and struck out to finish the inning.

His three-homer recreation is the fourth within the majors this season, following Texas’ Adolis García on April 22, St. Louis’ Paul Goldschmidt on May 7 and Oakland’s Jordan Diaz on May 9.
