DeSantis pledges to revive Confederate common’s title to U.S. navy base

Gov. Ron DeSantis is pledging if elected president in 2024 to revive the title of a Confederate common to a North Carolina navy base. 

Mr. DeSantis informed a North Carolina Republican Party conference on Friday he would push to revive the title Fort Bragg to a key navy base throughout the state. 

“I also look forward to, as President, restoring the name of Fort Bragg to our great military base in Fayetteville, North Carolina,” mentioned Mr. DeSantis, Florida Republican. “It’s an iconic name and iconic base, and we’re not gonna let political correctness run amok.”
