Lady, 11, dies after shedding consciousness on Turkish Airlines flight

An 11-year-old lady has died after shedding consciousness throughout a flight from Istanbul to New York.

Turkish Airlines informed Sky News the lady turned sick through the flight on Sunday and cabin crew requested over the PA system if there was a physician on board.

The captain of the aircraft “instantly diverted to Budapest” and a physician on the flight attended to the lady, the corporate added.

After the aircraft made an emergency touchdown at Budapest International Airport, “medical teams boarded the aircraft for further treatment but despite all efforts, [the] passenger couldn’t be saved”, Turkish Airlines mentioned.

“We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones and share their pain,” the corporate added.

The aircraft continued its journey to New York after a four-and-a-half hour delay.

Some experiences mentioned the kid who died was a boy however Turkish Airlines confirmed the passenger was a woman.

The reason behind demise has not been revealed.
