“There’s definitely arguments there for him to be the greatest of all time,” Murray stated.

The 36-year-old Scot, at the moment ranked 39, owns 29 mixed wins in opposition to the Big Three. He sports a file of 11-25 in opposition to Djokovic, 11-14 in opposition to Federer and 7-17 in opposition to Nadal.

Murray says that every participant has carved out a novel model of greatness on their very own particular surfaces.

“The thing that for me has been really special about those three guys is their [ability to dominate certain] surfaces. Rafa on the clay, I don’t think anyone can doubt who’s the best clay court player of all time. For me, Novak is clearly the best hard court player of all time and then grass is kind of still to be decided, between probably [Novak] and Roger. “But yeah, what all those guys have achieved is amazing.”

With Djokovic now on prime of the all-time males’s singles title listing for the primary time, Murray nonetheless refrains from making any sort of definitive declaration on the subject of which of the three legends is the best of all-time.

“If you just go on Grand Slam titles, then you’d have to give that to Novak but for me, it’s just slightly more nuanced than that.”
