Biden requires assault weapon ban following spate of violence

President Biden urged Republican lawmakers in Congress “to come to the table” to tighten gun legal guidelines after a spate of gun violence main as much as Independence Day.

Mr. Biden’s remarks come after Philadelphia police arrested a suspect in Monday night time’s mass capturing. 

Police arrested Kimbrady Carricker, 40, for a capturing spree within the Kingsessing neighborhood in Southwest Philadelphia during which 5 folks have been killed and two kids injured.

The Associated Press reported that Mr. Carricker had a bulletproof vest, “AR-type rifle,” a number of magazines and a handgun.

Mr. Biden added that current mass shootings present that extra must be carried out throughout the nation to “address the epidemic of gun violence that is tearing our communities apart.”  

“I urge other states to follow Illinois’ lead, and continue to call upon Republican lawmakers in Congress to come to the table on meaningful, commonsense reforms that the American people support,” Mr. Biden mentioned.
