“This is exactly what I hoped acting was like when I was a kid.

“To work with any individual like Peter [Sohn] and Denise [Ream – Elemental’s producer], these groups of animators, those that I’ve admired for 20 years plus, in the way in which that we have been engaged on this mission with such openness and such love for the mission, for one another – and then you definately see the mission, after which it is higher than you might have imagined – it is the total package deal of something that you might have ever wished.”

While Lewis says the response from people who have seen the movie has been actually gratifying.

“I feel like the audience of Pixar is so pure and genuine and loyal,” she added.

“We went to a couple of screenings and just seeing little children get so excited, but then their parents also say ‘I was weeping’ and I’m like: ‘That’s just good storytelling right there’.”
