Las Vegas: SWAT crew arrest man after he holds girl hostage at Caesars Palace lodge

SWAT have arrested a person in Las Vegas after he took a girl hostage on the Caesars Palace lodge.

According to police, the person pulled the lady right into a lodge room at 9.15am native time, and advised officers he was armed whereas refusing to open the door.

Tweeting after the incident, Las Vegas police mentioned: “SWAT made entry into the hotel room and has taken the subject into custody.

“The feminine who was additionally within the room is protected and with officers.

“There will be a large police presence with vehicles as this investigation continues and units disperse.”

Other particulars within the incident are unclear, however lodge safety mentioned the person and girl had been arguing.

A lodge receptionist advised reporters the incident passed off on the twenty first flooring of the world-famous resort.

Journalist John Marshall, who was on vacation there, mentioned damaged glass and furnishings fell from the room for about an hour – including friends and guests in different areas of the lodge weren’t advised to limit their actions.

Mr Marshall mentioned “it looks like he’s pretty much emptied the room of furniture”, and that seat cushions and a chair hit the ledge outdoors of his window, with different gadgets hitting the pool space, which was evacuated round lunchtime.

Police mentioned there have been no different accidents.

Beverly Blackwell, who’s on vacation on the lodge, mentioned friends across the pool had been advised to “gather their things and rush out the back” by employees, calling it a surreal and scary feeling.
