Florida teen mom charged with placing deadly fentanyl dose in child’s bottle

Police in Florida have arrested a teen mom and accused her of killing her toddler by feeding fentanyl-laced method to the child.

Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper stated Wednesday that the 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody on aggravated manslaughter and possession of a managed substance expenses.

The teen confessed to police that she put what she thought was cocaine in her 9-month-old son’s bottle to attempt to assist him to sleep. Sheriff Leeper stated an investigation revealed she as a substitute put a deadly dose of the artificial opioid within the little one’s method.



“Most babies are born to loving parents who take care of all of their needs. But, unfortunately some babies are born to individuals who have no business in being a parent,” Sheriff Leeper stated at a press convention.

The sheriff stated the child had sufficient fentanyl in his blood to kill 10 folks. 
 
Police initially responded to a report of an unconscious little one on June 26. Deputies discovered the child had no pulse and wasn’t respiratory. The toddler was pronounced useless at a hospital.

Sheriff Leeper stated follow-up interviews with the mom revealed “several inconsistencies in her [initial] statement were proven to be lies.”

The teen instructed police she was drained and needed to take a nap when she put the narcotic within the child’s bottle.
