Prague authorities cancels efficiency by Russian soprano Anna Netrebko

PRAGUE — A scheduled efficiency by Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko within the Czech capital has been canceled over political pressures as Russia wages conflict on Ukraine, Czech officers stated Thursday.

The announcement got here days after the Prague authorities stated that each one its coalition events “unequivocally” opposed the live performance, calling it “insensitive.”

Prague’s Municipal House, the place Netrebko’s Oct. 16 efficiency was to happen, and the Nachtigall Artists Management, an company that organized it, have agreed on the cancellation.
