Bernardo Silva extends contract at Manchester City after hypothesis of transfer to Paris Saint-Germain

MANCHESTER, England — Bernardo Silva signed a contract extension with Manchester City on Wednesday, ending hypothesis he would be a part of Paris Saint-Germain this season.

The 29-year-old Portugal midfielder prolonged his contract by one 12 months via the 2025-26 season, City stated in a press release.

He received 5 Premier League titles and in June a primary Champions League title with City since becoming a member of in 2017 from Monaco.



“I’ve had six incredible years at Manchester City and I’m delighted to extend my time here,” Silva stated.

At Monaco, Silva was a part of a staff with Kylian Mbappé that received the French league title in 2017 and reached the Champions League semifinals. Mbappé additionally left that summer season – for PSG.

Silva was broadly speculated within the offseason to be returning to the French league and reuniting with Mbappé.
