Bee-ware! Drivers warned after 5 million bees fall off truck on Canada highway

Drivers in components of Canada are being warned to maintain automobile home windows closed after a truck carrying 5 million bees spilled onto a highway.

Halton Regional Police stated they obtained a name about 6.15am native time reporting the crates of bees had come free from a truck and spilled onto Guelph Line in Ontario, simply west of Toronto.

“Crates were literally on the road and swarms of bees were flying around,” Constable Ryan Anderson stated.

He described the incident as “quite the scene”.

“The initial beekeeper that was on scene was apparently stung a few times.”

It is unknown the place the bees had been being transported and for what motive.

Pedestrians had been requested to keep away from the realm and drivers had been requested to shut their home windows as they handed by the realm.

About six or seven beekeepers arrived on the scene to help after an attraction from police was placed on social media.

It took round three hours to clear away nearly all of the bugs, that had been collected and brought away.

Some crates had been left behind for the bees to return to on their very own.

In summer season, a colony of honeybees tends to have about 50,000 to 80,000 bees in accordance with the Canadian Honey Council, a nationwide affiliation of beekeepers.
