Fans of singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett have posthumously rocketed his 1985 biggest hits album, “Songs You Know By Heart,” again up the Billboard charts.
Buffett, who died on Sept. 1 from pores and skin most cancers, was 76.
The album consists of songs reminiscent of “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes,” “Volcano,” “Come Monday,” and his solely Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, “Margaritaville,” which peaked on that chart at No. 8 for the week of July 23, 1977.
On Billboard’s chart for pure album gross sales, “Songs You Know By Heart” hit No. 1 for the week ending Saturday, having beforehand spent 19 weeks on the chart again when it was first launched.
On the Billboard 200 chart, which incorporates each album gross sales and streaming-based metrics, “Songs You Know By Heart” hit an all-time excessive place at No. 4 for the week ending Saturday, having beforehand spent 35 weeks on the chart and peaking at No. 100 again when it was first launched. The posthumous curiosity makes the album Buffett’s thirteenth to hit the highest 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Billboard estimates that “Songs You Know By Heart” has had 8.14 million pure album gross sales all through the lifetime of the album.
