Virginia man dies attempting to hike between North and South Rims of Grand Canyon in afternoon

A Manassas, Virginia, man died over the weekend whereas trying to make the Rim-to-Rim hike on the Grand Canyon, park officers stated.

On Saturday, Ranjith Varma, 55, was attempting to hike between the 21-mile trek from the South Rim to the North Rim in a single day, in response to Grand Canyon National Park officers.

NPS personnel obtained an emergency name relating to Varma’s misery at round 1:55 p.m. Varma would go out and turn into unresponsive shortly thereafter, receiving CPR from bystanders.
