Alize Cornet is saying no to China this fall.
The 33-year-old French veteran is opting out of WTA tournaments in China as a consequence of her convictions.

“True to my convictions and attentive to my health, I have decided that I will not play in China this year,” Cornet introduced on social media.
The transfer will doubtless value the 99th-ranked Frenchwoman her place within the Top 100.
Cornet’s reference to “convictions” is a reference to Chinese participant Peng Shuai, who publicly accused a high-ranking Chinese authorities official of sexual assault.
The WTA initially pulled out of China calling for a whole and clear investigation into Peng Shuai’s case, nevertheless the Tour lifted it is China ban final April.
