High college senior in Georgia comatose after batting cage accident

A highschool senior in Georgia was left comatose after a freak accident inside a batting cage.

Jeremy Medina, who attends Gainesville High School, was within the batting cages on the college Monday afternoon when he was struck by a baseball bat, the Gainesville City School System posted on X Wednesday.

School officers didn’t specify how Jeremy, who stays in a coma on the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, was hit within the head or the extent of his accidents.



He performed each pitcher and catcher in the course of the college’s 2022 baseball season.

Jeremy and his family are firm believers in Jesus Christ and His redemptive love, and are requesting prayer during this extremely difficult time,” the college system stated in its submit.
