Actor Jeremy Renner to star in first movie since snowplough accident

Jeremy Renner is ready to star in his first movie since he was significantly injured in a snowplough accident.

The 53-year-old American is the most recent actor to hitch the forged of Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, greater than a 12 months after he suffered greater than 30 damaged bones within the accident.

The Avengers star was injured on New Year’s Day in 2023 whereas making an attempt to assist his nephew free his pickup truck from the snow when the six-tonne plough started to roll down a hill, in line with a police report.

Renner was airlifted to hospital, and spent a while in an intensive care unit.

He will be part of British star Daniel Craig as returning detective Benoit Blanc within the new homicide thriller, set for launch in 2025.

Previously introduced forged members embody British actor Josh O’Connor, who starred in Challengers and The Crown, Irish star Andrew Scott from Ripley and Fleabag, Scandal’s Kerry Washington, Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close and Cailee Spaeny of Priscilla.

Last week, filmmaker Johnson introduced on X that the movie is “about to go into production” whereas plot particulars are but to be revealed.
