Tesla’s labor headache in Scandinavia could not keep remoted in Sweden.

If his union does launch a strike, it intends to cease transporting Tesla autos and components from Denmark to Sweden.

The announcement marks a big growth in Tesla’s battle to maintain its amenities nonunion.

The fray started in late October when Swedish mechanics at Tesla voted to unionize with IF Metall. After negotiations with Tesla failed to provide a collective settlement, IF Metall led the mechanics to the picket strains.

Soon different Swedish labor unions launched sympathy strikes. The first to affix the mechanics have been the Swedish dockworkers, who pledged to cease the importation of any Tesla merchandise into the nation. Swedish postal staff adopted go well with, saying they’d not ship Tesla’s mail.

A Swedish court docket not too long ago dominated that postal staff should ship license plates to Tesla underneath Swedish regulation.

His firm has “no lords and peasants,” he mentioned. Everyone eats on the similar desk. Everyone parks on the similar car parking zone. At GM, there’s a particular elevator just for senior executives. We haven’t any such factor at Tesla.”
