Seattle espresso large Starbucks has filed an unfair labor observe criticism with the National Labor Relations Board in opposition to Starbucks Workers United over feedback the union made in response to alleged restrictions on Pride Month decorations.
The firm is accusing the union of orchestrating an illegal “smear campaign” that “maliciously and recklessly” seeks to unfold false statements about firm coverage.
“We cannot and will not tolerate these deliberate misrepresentations being broadcast to our partners,” Starbucks mentioned in an announcement. “This is not what our partners expect or deserve.”
The criticism comes after dozens of Starbucks staff accused native managers of ordering Pride Month decorations taken down. Starbucks Workers United filed a criticism with the National Labor Relations Board on June 7 in response to the allegations.
The firm has denied that the takedown of Pride decorations was firm coverage and has defended its observe report of supporting LGBTQ causes. Starbucks mentioned it might launch extra tips for Pride decorations that may ease tensions.
