Sir Keir Starmer to woo union assist for inexperienced power plans following criticism over North Sea Oil
Sir Keir Starmer will attempt to persuade commerce unions to again his inexperienced power plans after bosses publicly criticised his coverage of banning new oil and gasoline developments within the North Sea.The Labour chief will search to reassure commerce unions by emphasising that employees and "quality jobs" shall be "front and centre" of the shift to renewable power.
Sir Keir's look on the GMB congress in Brighton comes days after the union's normal secretary, Gary Smith, referred to as his coverage on oil and gasoline manufacturing "naïve" and missing in "intellectual rigour".He was joined in his criticism by Unite General Secretary Sharon Graham, who stated Labour should be "very clear that they will not let workers pay the price" for the transition to renewable power...
