CBS News hires Lisa Ling after CNN documentary collection was canceled

NEW YORK — Journalist Lisa Ling, who left CNN after her “This is Life” documentary collection was canceled, has joined CBS News as a reporter, the community mentioned on Wednesday.

Ling, who might be based mostly in Los Angeles, will be a part of CBS later this summer season. She’ll contribute tales throughout the community’s platforms.

“This is Life” featured Ling’s immersive storytelling on matters like bike gangs, intercourse trafficking and gun violence. Last 12 months, she did an HBO Max documentary collection on Asian-American historical past and delicacies.



She additionally spent three years as a panelist on “The View,” hosted “National Geographic Ultimate Explorer” and was government producer and host of “Our America” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN community.

She began in journalism as a correspondent for Channel One News.

Ling is the newest in a string of hires by CBS News President Neeraj Khemlani over the previous two years, together with Nate Burleson, Scott MacFarlane, Natalie Morales, Robert Costa and Cecilia Vega.
