Twitter proprietor Elon Musk mentioned Sunday that he plans to alter the social media platform’s emblem from its iconic chook silhouette to an “X.”
“And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” the tech magnate tweeted shortly after midnight. He added that the change might come as quickly as Monday “if a good enough X logo is posted.”
Mr. Musk mentioned he desires the “X” design to be in Art Deco type. The new emblem will “embody the imperfections in us all that make us unique,” he wrote.
It’s the newest in a sequence of modifications Mr. Musk has made since he took over the corporate final fall.
He launched caps on what number of tweets customers might view per day earlier this month, saying it could curb “data scraping” by tech firms and AI applications. Mr. Musk mentioned knowledge scraping helps inflate firms’ valuations.
