Comedian Gareth Richards, a former radio co-host of Frank Skinner, has died nearly two weeks after struggling mind accidents in a motorway crash.
Skinner broke down in tears stay on his present within the days after the collision as he advised listeners that his good friend was combating for his life.
Richards died of his accidents on Friday, his spouse Laura stated in a submit on social media paying tribute.
“He was in a terrible car accident on Monday 27 March at 11.30pm and sustained serious brain injuries,” she wrote. “It was a miracle that he arrived at the hospital alive.
“Since then, the docs and nurses have been unbelievable and have stored him in a secure and sedated situation.
“However, the latest scan revealed that the extent of the damage was so severe that they would have to remove all of the supportive medications and allow him to be at peace.”
The Frank Skinner Show shared an announcement on Twitter after the information was confirmed. It stated: “We are heartbroken about the loss of our dear friend, Gareth. We will miss him greatly. Tomorrow we will be releasing a podcast of some of his Best Bits on our show.”

He is assumed to have been concerned in a severe collision on the M25 close to Heathrow Airport on 27 March.
