Sean Martin: Lead singer of standard Liverpool band dies aged 26

The lead singer of a well-liked Liverpool band has died aged 26. 

Sean Martin was the frontman of indie pop group The Night Cafe.

In a publish on Instagram on Monday morning, the band stated they have been “devastated” by Sean’s demise.

“Words can’t describe the pain we are feeling right now, we’re still struggling to process it all. We ask everyone to respect the privacy of Sean’s family and friends during this difficult time,” the publish learn.

“Sean was not just our band mate, he was our childhood best friend that we shared so many memories with before the band even started.

“We made so many extra recollections alongside the best way and achieved issues we solely dreamt of that we’ll cherish eternally.

“His memory will live on forever in our hearts and through the music he put out into the world for you all.”

The band, which incorporates guitarist Josh Higgins, bassist Arran O’Connell Whittle and drummer Carl Dillon, met in secondary faculty and launched their first album 0151 in 2019.

The group had opened for The Wombats, who additionally paid tribute to Martin, saying: “He was literally the nicest, most lovely guy to have around on tour.
