South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol delights W.H. crowd with ‘American Pie’

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol sang “American Pie” throughout state dinner festivities Wednesday on the White House, incomes rave critiques from President Biden and a cheerful crowd.

Mr. Yoon mentioned the Don McLean ‘70s hit was his favourite, prompting Mr. Biden to answer: “Well, we wanted to hear you sing it.”

He did, holding a microphone and providing a verse to piano accompaniment whereas Mr. Biden and the company beamed.

Mr. Biden introduced a guitar autographed by Mr. McLean, saying the singer couldn’t be there however needed the South Korean chief to have it.
