Filming for the second collection of Star Wars TV spin-off Andor in Dorset has been cancelled as a result of security considerations.
Scenes for the Disney+ channel had been as a result of be shot at Winspit Quarry near Worth Matravers, a picturesque village on the Isle of Purbeck peninsula in Dorset, the place the primary collection was filmed in May 2021.
The National Trust, which owns the location, stated plans to movie had been cancelled as a result of “safety concerns” following current “turbulent weather” within the space.

National Trust normal supervisor for the Isle of Purbeck, Tracey Churcher, added: “We urge folks to take the time to learn warning indicators and comply with the directions to allow them to benefit from the coast safely.
“People should always stay well back from the cliff and rock edges, whether on or below them, and we ask people not to visit Winspit Quarry until our experts are confident it is safe to visit again.”
The filming was cancelled every week after the Met Office issued a yellow warning for robust winds reaching as much as 70mph throughout southern England together with the Dorset shoreline.
England had its wettest March in additional than 40 years, with 111.3mm of rain – 91% above common – falling over the month.
