The Jamaica Plain neighborhood department of the Boston Public Library acquired an odd return final week — a vinyl Motown report 45 years overdue.
The Junior Walker and the All Stars “Anthology” album, first launched by the Detroit music label in 1974, was due on Oct. 27, 1978, the library posted on Facebook.
The report was lastly returned Wednesday. Luckily for the one that returned it, the Boston Public Library not has fines for late returns.
The merchandise was not in Jamaica Plain’s information, since department places stopped stocking vinyl information within the 4 a long time the report was checked out.
It had been checked out of a special location, the Egleston Square department, and workers knowledgeable the Boston Central Library archivists concerning the returned piece, in line with the Jamaica Plain News.
