Chris Pincher: Former authorities whip to face down at subsequent election

Chris Pincher, the MP whose conduct kickstarted the top of Boris Johnson’s premiership, is standing down on the subsequent election.

Mr Pincher, the MP for Tamworth since 2010, resigned from his job as deputy chief whip in June final 12 months following allegations about his conduct.

Boris Johnson suspended him from the Tory occasion in July after he was accused of assaulting two fellow friends on the unique Carlton Club in London final 12 months.

Mr Pincher has sat as an impartial MP within the Commons ever since.
