The threat from terrorism is “rising”, Home Secretary Suella Braverman has stated.
The cupboard minister was talking as the federal government revealed a assessment of its counter-terrorism technique, CONTEST, which has been up to date for the primary time in 5 years.
Ms Braverman stated: “We now face a domestic terrorist threat which is less predictable, harder to detect and investigate; a persistent and evolving threat from Islamist terrorist groups overseas; and an operating environment where technology continues to provide both opportunity and risk to our counter-terrorism efforts.
“We due to this fact choose that the danger from terrorism is as soon as once more rising.”
In a speech announcing the report, Ms Braverman added that the rise was from a “decrease base”, and the risk is “not as excessive as just a few years in the past”.
