WASHINGTON — Authorities issued a shelter-in-place order and started looking Senate workplace buildings close to the U.S. Capitol Wednesday afternoon amid studies of an energetic shooter.
The U.S. Capitol Police introduced on the X social media platform that the safety response was prompted by a “concerning 911 call” relating to a “possible active shooter.”
However, as of three p.m., the Capitol Police famous that there have been no confirmed studies of weapons or gunshots.
Both the House of Representatives and the Senate are at present on recess.
