Trump holds massive main lead in Georgia regardless of authorized woes

Former President Donald Trump is sitting on a giant lead within the GOP nomination race in Georgia regardless of being hit with a felony indictment charging him and 18 of his allies with attempting to overturn the outcomes of the state’s 2020 election.

Mr. Trump leads 57% to fifteen% over his closest rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, amongst seemingly Republican voters, in response to a brand new survey from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The different Republican contenders are caught within the single digits, with 14% undecided.



• Former Vice President Mike Pence, 4%.
• Vivek Ramaswamy, 3%.
• Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, 3%.
• Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, 2%.

Room exists for the non-Trump contenders to spice up their assist, as a 3rd of the voters backing the ex-president mentioned they’re open to switching to a different candidate.

The survey included 807 seemingly GOP voters. The University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs performed the ballot from Aug. 16- 22.

An Atlanta grand jury indicted Mr. Trump on Aug. 15.

Half of the voters polled mentioned they contemplate the costs “very serious” or “somewhat serious” in contrast with 44% who referred to as them “not too serious” or “not serious at all.”

The remainder of these surveyed have been undecided.

The ballot carries a margin of error of three.4 share factors.
