Brewers’ Rowdy Tellez has surgical procedure after hurting finger in accident, out 4 extra weeks

CINCINNATI — Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rowdy Tellez had surgical procedure on his left ring finger after injuring himself throughout pregame warmups and can miss an extra 4 weeks.

Brewers supervisor Craig Counsell mentioned Tellez was shagging fly balls within the outfield Saturday and bought his finger caught within the padding of the middle discipline wall. Tellez tore his fingernail off and needed to endure surgical procedure to insert 17 stitches and restore a small fracture on the top of the finger.
