Mariners’ Julio Rodriguez, Rays’ Wander Franco amongst All-Star Recreation damage replacements

NEW YORK — Seattle middle fielder Julio Rodríguez and right-hander George Kirby, Tampa Bay shortstop Wander Franco and Houston outfielder Kyle Tucker had been added to the American League All-Star roster on Tuesday as damage replacements and Pittsburgh nearer David Bednar was picked for the National League crew.

Rodríguez changed Houston outfielder Yordan Alvarez, Kirby took over from Tampa Bay left-hander Shane McClanahan, Franco crammed the spot of New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, and Tucker substituted for Los Angeles Angels middle fielder Mike Trout.

Bednar changed Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw.



Rodríguez and Kirby be a part of right-hander Luis Castillo, the one Mariners participant initially chosen for the July 11 sport at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park.

Rodríguez, Tucker and Bednar turn out to be two-time All-Stars, whereas Kirby was picked for the primary time.

Franco, a first-time-All-Star, was benched by the Rays for 2 video games final month for his response to tough conditions, which he believed was related to his initially lacking out on the All-Star crew.

“Well, at first thought it was probably because of the behavior that I thought was the reason why I didn’t make it but I kept my head up, and thank God I’m in it,” he mentioned.
