Nationals swept by Marlins as 20-year-old Eury Perez will get first MLB win

“I wanted to continue,” Perez stated. “I was making eye contact with Mel (pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre) a lot of times. He was smiling, and he told me ‘For the next one we’ll let you go a little deeper.’”
