Pirates-Nationals sport rained out with break up doubleheader set for Saturday

The sport between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Washington Nationals scheduled for Friday night time was postponed due to rain and can be made up Saturday as a part of a day-night, split-admission doubleheader.

The groups already have been scheduled to play at 1:05 p.m. Saturday. The make-up sport will start at 6:05 p.m.

With rain anticipated to proceed all through the remainder of the day, the collection opener was referred to as off Friday about 4 hours earlier than the scheduled first pitch.

Washington will begin left-hander Patrick Corbin (1-3, 5.88 ERA) within the afternoon sport. Right-hander Chad Kuhl (0-1, 7.36), Friday’s scheduled starter, will begin the second.

Pittsburgh didn’t instantly announce its pitching plans for the doubleheader. The Pirates have been set to begin left-hander Rich Hill (2-2, 4.85 ERA) on Friday and listed right-hander Vince Velasquez (3-2, 3.76) because the starter Saturday earlier than the rainout.
