Reds pitcher Hunter Greene will miss not less than every week after touchdown on COVID-19 injured listing

CINCINNATI — Reds right-handed pitcher Hunter Greene will miss not less than every week after being positioned on the COVID-19 injured listing, the crew stated Friday.

“Hunter will be on the COVID list for seven days,” Reds supervisor David Bell stated. “He could pitch any time after that as long as he gets better each day. He could start on Friday. That would be the earliest.”

Bell supplied no extra particulars on the pitcher’s sickness.



The 24-year-old fireballer (3-6) had three begins after returning Aug. 20 from practically two months on the injured listing with a sore hip.

His first two begins after that have been rocky – 13 earned runs in a complete of 6 2/3 innings – however he rebounded in his final outing on Wednesday, permitting one run and three hits by 5 1/3 because the Reds beat the Giants 4-1.
