Springer leaves sport after being hit on proper hand by pitch

TORONTO — Blue Jays star George Springer left Wednesday’s sport in opposition to the Chicago White Sox within the fourth inning. one inning after he was hit on the fitting hand by a pitch from right-hander Michael Kopech.

Toronto stated Springer’s hand was bruised and X-rays didn’t reveal a fracture.

Springer stayed within the sport to run the bases and scored on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s double. Springer performed proper area within the prime of the fourth and Cavan Biggio pinch hit for the four-time All Star within the backside half. Biggio struck out, stranding two runners.

Springer is hitting .216 with three homers and 9 RBIs.
