Triolo’ 1st huge league homer leads Pirates over Reds 4-2 in doubleheader opener

PITTSBURGH — Jared Triolo hit his first main league house run, a three-run drive as a pinch hitter within the seventh inning, and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 in a doubleheader opener Sunday.

Pittsburgh overcame a 2-0 deficit in opposition to the Reds, who misplaced for the ninth time in 11 video games.

Alex Williams began the comeback with an RBI single within the fifth.



Liover Peguero walked in opposition to Lucas Sims beginning the seventh and pinch-hitter Endy Rodriguez walked with one out in opposition to Alex Young (4-1).
